How to change your name with TXU Energy

TXU Energy's steps
For security, TXU changes the name on an account (for example a married name) by phone, not online. Call customer service; it's open 24/7.
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
