How to change your name with PSE&G
Married or divorced and updating your accounts? Here's how PSE&G takes a name change, from its own help page.
In person or by phone only. PSE&G is one of the few that won't change your name online. Call 800-436-7734 or visit, and bring your documents.
PSE&G's steps
For a marriage, divorce or legal name change, call Customer Service. They give you an email address for your marriage certificate, decree or new ID.
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
Let Sasha handle the letters
Sasha writes and signs your name change letter for PSE&G and every other company on your list, with your certificate attached. It also keeps track of who's done. The checklist is free.
Checked against PSE&G's own page in October 2026. Companies change their process; confirm on their site or by phone before you send anything. Sasha isn't affiliated with PSE&G.
