How to change your name with NIPSCO
Married or divorced and updating your accounts? Here's how NIPSCO takes a name change, from its own help page.
In person or by phone only. NIPSCO is one of the few that won't change your name online. Call 1-800-464-7726 or visit, and bring your documents.
NIPSCO's steps
To update the last name on your NIPSCO account, call 1-800-4NIPSCO.
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
