How to change your name with JEA (Jacksonville)
Married or divorced and updating your accounts? Here's how JEA takes a name change, from its own help page.

JEA's steps
Fax a copy of your marriage license, divorce decree or court order to (904) 665-7990, or bring it to the Downtown Service Center.
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
Let Sasha handle the letters
Sasha writes and signs your name change letter for JEA and every other company on your list, with your certificate attached. It can even print and mail it to JEA for you: no printer, no stamps. It also keeps track of who's done. The checklist is free.
Checked against JEA's own page in October 2026. Companies change their process; confirm on their site or by phone before you send anything. Sasha isn't affiliated with JEA.
