How to change your name with Idaho Power
Married or divorced and updating your accounts? Here's how Idaho Power takes a name change, from its own help page.
In person or by phone only. Idaho Power is one of the few that won't change your name online. Call 1-800-488-6151 or visit, and bring your documents.
Idaho Power's steps
Idaho Power doesn't post online steps for a name change. Call customer service (208-388-2323 in the Boise area).
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
