How to change your name with HealthCare.gov Marketplace
Married or divorced and updating your accounts? Here's how HealthCare.gov Marketplace takes a name change, from its own help page.
HealthCare.gov Marketplace's steps
Log in, open your application and report a change (name corrections are on the list), or call the Marketplace Call Center. Marriage also opens a window to change plans.
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
Let Sasha handle the letters
Sasha writes and signs your name change letter for HealthCare.gov Marketplace and every other company on your list, with your certificate attached. It also keeps track of who's done. The checklist is free.
