How to change your name with Entergy

Married or divorced and updating your accounts? Here's how Entergy takes a name change, from its own help page.

HowBy phone

By mailNo: in person or by phone

In person or by phone only. Entergy is one of the few that won't change your name online. Call 800-368-3749 or visit, and bring your documents.

Entergy's steps

Entergy doesn't post online steps for a name change. Call customer service and ask what they need.

Have these ready

A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
Your account number, and the name the account is in now.

Let Sasha handle the letters

Sasha writes and signs your name change letter for Entergy and every other company on your list, with your certificate attached. It also keeps track of who's done. The checklist is free.
