How to change your name with TDECU
Married or divorced and updating your accounts? Here's how TDECU takes a name change, from its own help page.
In person or by phone only. TDECU is one of the few that won't change your name online. Call 800-839-1154 or visit, and bring your documents.
TDECU's steps
TDECU's member handbook says to tell them within 30 days of a legal name change. Call or visit a branch; bring your marriage certificate or decree and your new ID.
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
