How to change your name with TD Bank
Married or divorced and updating your accounts? Here's how TD Bank takes a name change, from its own help page.
In person or by phone only. TD Bank is one of the few that won't change your name online. Call 1-888-751-9000 or visit, and bring your documents.
TD Bank's steps
TD Bank doesn't post online steps for a name change. Call or visit a store (branch) and ask what they need; bring your marriage certificate or decree and your new ID.
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
