How to change your name with Stash
Married or divorced and updating your accounts? Here's how Stash takes a name change, from its own help page.
Stash's steps
Contact Customer Support (weekdays 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET) and send your new ID plus your marriage certificate, divorce certificate or certified court order.
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
Let Sasha handle the letters
Sasha writes and signs your name change letter for Stash and every other company on your list, with your certificate attached. It also keeps track of who's done. The checklist is free.
Checked against Stash's own page in October 2026. Companies change their process; confirm on their site or by phone before you send anything. Sasha isn't affiliated with Stash.
