How to change your name with Regions Bank
Married or divorced and updating your accounts? Here's how Regions Bank takes a name change, from its own help page.
In person or by phone only. Regions Bank is one of the few that won't change your name online. Call 1-800-734-4667 or visit, and bring your documents.
Regions Bank's steps
Regions doesn't post online steps for a name change. Call 1-800-REGIONS or visit a branch and ask what they need; bring your marriage certificate or decree and your new ID.
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
Let Sasha handle the letters
Sasha writes and signs your name change letter for Regions Bank and every other company on your list, with your certificate attached. It also keeps track of who's done. The checklist is free.
