How to change your name with PenFed Credit Union
Married or divorced and updating your accounts? Here's how PenFed Credit Union takes a name change, from its own help page.
PenFed Credit Union's steps
Fill in the Request for Change of Name (Form 34) and send it with a copy of your legal document and a color photo of your new ID.
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
Let Sasha handle the letters
Sasha writes and signs your name change letter for PenFed Credit Union and every other company on your list, with your certificate attached. It can even print and mail it to PenFed Credit Union for you: no printer, no stamps. It also keeps track of who's done. The checklist is free.
