How to change your name with Nelnet (student loans)

Nelnet's steps
Nelnet doesn't post online steps for a name change. Call and ask what they need; have your marriage certificate or decree ready.
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
