How to change your name with First Hawaiian Bank
Married or divorced and updating your accounts? Here's how First Hawaiian Bank takes a name change, from its own help page.
In person or by phone only. First Hawaiian Bank is one of the few that won't change your name online. Call 1-888-844-4444 or visit, and bring your documents.
First Hawaiian Bank's steps
Bring a photo ID plus your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order to any branch. Not near one? Call customer service for instructions.
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
Let Sasha handle the letters
Sasha writes and signs your name change letter for First Hawaiian Bank and every other company on your list, with your certificate attached. It also keeps track of who's done. The checklist is free.
