How to change your name with Consumers Credit Union (Michigan)
Married or divorced and updating your accounts? Here's how Consumers Credit Union takes a name change, from its own help page.
In person or by phone only. Consumers Credit Union is one of the few that won't change your name online. Call 800-991-2221 or visit, and bring your documents.
Consumers Credit Union's steps
Stop by a location with your marriage license, divorce decree signed by a judge, or court document. Can't come in? Call and have your paperwork ready to fax.
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
