How to change your name with Bank of Hawaii
Married or divorced and updating your accounts? Here's how Bank of Hawaii takes a name change, from its own help page.
In person or by phone only. Bank of Hawaii is one of the few that won't change your name online. Call 808-643-3888 or visit, and bring your documents.
Bank of Hawaii's steps
Bank of Hawaii asks you to contact your local branch to change the name on your checking and savings accounts.
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
Let Sasha handle the letters
Sasha writes and signs your name change letter for Bank of Hawaii and every other company on your list, with your certificate attached. It also keeps track of who's done. The checklist is free.
