How to change your name with USPS.com & Informed Delivery
Married or divorced and updating your accounts? Here's how USPS.com & Informed Delivery takes a name change, from its own help page.
USPS.com & Informed Delivery's steps
Sign in, select "Hi, your name" at the top, and edit your profile. Changing your name turns off Informed Delivery, so opt back in and verify your identity again.
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
Let Sasha handle the letters
Sasha writes and signs your name change letter for USPS.com & Informed Delivery and every other company on your list, with your certificate attached. It also keeps track of who's done. The checklist is free.
