How to change your name with Costco
Married or divorced and updating your accounts? Here's how Costco takes a name change, from its own help page.
In person or by phone only. Costco is one of the few that won't change your name online. Bring your documents when you go.
Costco's steps
Bring your new government photo ID to the membership counter at any warehouse. They update your name and print a new card. It can't be done online.
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
