How to change your name with Citizens Property Insurance (Florida)
Married or divorced and updating your accounts? Here's how Citizens Property Insurance takes a name change, from its own help page.
In person or by phone only. Citizens Property Insurance is one of the few that won't change your name online. Call 866-411-2742 or visit, and bring your documents.
Citizens Property Insurance's steps
Contact your agent or Citizens Customer Care. A name change after marriage needs a copy of your marriage certificate.
Have these ready
- A copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order (most companies ask for one).
- Your updated driver's license or ID, if you have it. Social Security comes first, then the DMV.
- Your account number, and the name the account is in now.
Let Sasha handle the letters
Sasha writes and signs your name change letter for Citizens Property Insurance and every other company on your list, with your certificate attached. It also keeps track of who's done. The checklist is free.
